Board of Intermediate Education, Karachi
The Board of Intermediate Education Karachi (BIEK) is the governing body for intermediate education in Karachi, Sindh Province, Pakistan.
It was established in 1974 as a separate institution in 1974 by the Center Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Amendment Act No. 20.
The Board has the authority to manage, regulate, develop, and control intermediate education. The Board of Secondary Education Karachi has similar powers for matriculation. The controlling authority of the Intermediate Board is the Chief Minister of Sindh or his nominee.
