Captain Muhammad Sarwar Shaheed was born on November 10, 1910 in a Rajput family in Sanghori, a village in Gujjar Khan area of Rawalpindi. His father Mr. Muhammad Hayat Khan was also a Hawaldar ina the Army. Almost the entire family of Captain Muhammad Sarwar Shaheed was religious and devout, so when he came to his senses, his father admitted him to the village mosque for his initial religious education, where he stayed for a while and recited the Qur'an.

He passed middle school from Tandlia Nawala Middle School in 1925 and got the first position in 10th class in 1927, when he was 17 years old. He then enlisted as a soldier in the Baloch Regiment in 1929 and left for the Old Baloch Center Karachi to complete his first military course. He continued his professional service in the Western Frontier Province for two years. He became a Hawaldar in 1941 and at the same time completed a driving course. In 1942 he was elected to the Emergency Commission. After the training course, he left the Indian Military Academy, Dera Dun, as a second lieutenant on March 19, 1944, and was promoted to lieutenant on April 27, 1944.
When the Second World War ended in 1945, Captain Sarwar remained in the Shaheed Punjab Regiment till 1946 and then in 1946 he was sent to the Punjab Regiment II. He was promoted to the rank of Permanent Captain, and after the formation of Pakistan in 1947, Captain Muhammad Sarwar Shaheed joined the Pakistan Army. He was assigned to the operation in Kashmir. On July 27, 1948, they attacked a key enemy military position in the Ori sector. A large number of Mujahideen were martyred and wounded in this attack but Captain Muhammad Sarwar continued to advance. When they reached a distance of only 30 yards from the enemy, the enemy started firing at them with heavy machine guns, grenades and mortar guns. He took charge of a brain gun whose young man had been martyred, so regardless of his wounds, he crossed the barbed wire with the help of six comrades and was the last on the enemy's front. Attacked, Captain Muhammad Sarwar went a long way raining bullets. After this surprise attack, the enemy turned their guns on Captain Sarwar.
A bullet hit Captain Sarwar in the chest, thus this brave soldier was martyred on 27th July 1948 on the front line of Azad Kashmir while protecting the motherland and showing extraordinary courage.
