Essay of the Holy Quran
The Quran is the holy book of Muslims. This is my favourite book. The word "Qur'an" means "reading". It is a book not written by a man. It was sent by Allah Almighty through our last Prophet (SAW) for the guidance of man. Gabriel was accustomed to carrying God's message. It is the most widely read book in the world.
The Quran is divided into 30 'Paras' and 114 'Suras'. Each surah has a different number of verses. Of the 114 Surahs, 92 were revealed in Makkah and 22 in Madinah. The Holy Qur'an consists of 6,616 verses, 77,934 words, and 3, 23,760 letters of Arabic. The first chapter of the book is viewed with special devotion by Muslims. It is called 'Surah Surah Fatih'. There are seven verses in it. We recite it in our prayers.
The Qur'an provides a complete code of life. It discusses every aspect of life in detail. It tells us what is right and what is wrong. It teaches us the truth, non-violence, love, meditation, compassion, and so on. This holy book is a kind of history. It contains the stories of ancient nations.
The Qur'an is written in Arabic, which is a very powerful language. Her style is very impressive and charming. It is so perfect and lofty that neither men nor jinn can compose verse like it. The book was not only sent to the Arabs, but to the whole world without distinction of colour, creed, or caste. The book is our best guide. It is full of wisdom, truth, facts, philosophy, beauty, grace, and love. This book covers all aspects of life and provides guidance on all topics. It is a heavenly holy book for man's spiritual, social, and personal guidance.
The Quran is an eternal book. God has declared in the Bible that he is responsible for its protection. That is why no one has yet succeeded in altering even the smallest verse of the book. It was compiled during the caliphate of Hazrat Uthman who was interested in its compilation. "Arbab" and other signs were placed on the Holy Book by two disciples of Hazrat Ali (RA) under his guidance. Many Muslims learn this remarkable book by heart. They are called memorizers of the Qur'an. This is the miracle of this book.
