The Holy Prophet (PBUH)
Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was the last messenger
of Allah. He was born on Monday 12th R.A, 20TH April 571 A.D. His father's name was Abdullah
and his mother's name was Bibi Amina. His parents died by the time he was six
years old. He was looked after by his grandfather Abdul Muttalib and uncle Abu
Talib. Both of them did all they could to rear him well. Before his prophethood, he was so honorable and trustworthy that people called him Sadiq and Ameen.
People used to refer all the disputes to him for the final decision.
Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) used to retire and pray
in a cave named Hira. One day the most wonderful incident happened to him.
Through the Angel, Gabriel Allah revealed to him the true religion Islam. Thus,
he was made a prophet at the age of forty. Immediately after this incident, he
started preaching Islam. He taught people that they should worship the one
and only Allah. Many people embraced Islam but many more turned against him and
started teasing him and his friends. He was stoned and tortured, but nothing
could move him from his right path. He continued his preaching unless he was
ordered by Allah to leave Makkah. He left the city of Makkah and migrated to
Madina. There also Islam spread far and wide and thousand of people embraced
Islam at the hands of the noblest of men. He created harmony and mutual
co-operation among the people of Madina.
Our holy prophet Muhammad (PBUH) passed away at
the age of 63 years. He is the last prophet. There would be no prophet after
him. He is for all ages and for all nations of the world.

My Ambition in Life
Everybody
has an ambition in his life. Life without ambition does not lead anywhere.
You do not know where to go and what to do. A person with a set of ambitions sets
his goals will in advance. He does not lead astray. His eyes are always on his
ultimate goal. He cannot be misled by other temptations. He is master of his
luck. He does not believe in destiny. He works very hard. His energy does not
go waste. He goes on and on forcefully. His health does not fail him. Failures
do not change his mood to change his track.
I would like to be a doctor. My country has become free, The government has decided to uproot the diseases from the country and improve the
health of the people. Hospitals are being opened for this purpose. There is a great demand for doctors. Taking all these things into consideration. I have
made up my mind to become a doctor.
Ambition
is a great incentive to work. If you have an ambition, you can pursue it all
your life and never feel tired. It drives you on and on quite tirelessly. You
must decide early in life whether you want to become an engineer, a doctor, a
lawyer, a teacher, banker, join Army, Air Force or Navy or become a commercial
pilot, or a scientist, philosopher, writer, or poet, a musician or an artist.
The whole world is open before a young man and he should make up his mind about
his career as early as possible.

My Favorite Book
I like reading interesting and informative books. I have a
library at my home. I often read books in my free time. I like all the books, but The
Holy Quran is my favorite book. It is the book of Allah. It provides us
language and messages of God. For more than thirteen centuries, it has
guided humanity. It was revealed to Hazrat Muhammad (may peace be upon him),
the last Prophet, in the 7th century, valid till the world exists.
“The Holy Quran is the greatest book of knowledge and
instruction for all humanity and for all time.”
The Holy Quran is written in the purest and most perfect
form of Arabic. It has divided into chapters and verses. The chapters are
called suras, which are 114 in all. The opening chapter of the Holy Quran is
very short, having six verses. We Muslims repeat it several times a day, and it
is called the Fatiha, that is, the preface or introduction. It at once affects
the feelings of a true Muslim. He cannot do anything evil or bad if he
understands its meaning.
The Holy Quran makes it clear that Hazrat Muhammad (may
peace be upon him) was bringing Islam back to its first, original purity, the
only true religion, which had existed since the beginning of the universe.
Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) is the last in the line of prophets, going back in time
to Adam (AS).
Therefore, the Holy Quran is the last holy books revealed by
Allah to his prophets. Whereas the other books changed or got corrupted with
time, the Quran still exists in its first original purity. Every word of it is
God’s word, perfect and pure. I rightly like this book most of all.

friends are very rare in these fast-changing days. Old values have gone, and
new ones have not yet come. Still, one must have a friend one can confide in. I
am lucky to have a number of friends.

morning Walk
A
morning walk is the best exercise. It costs nothing but it is suitable for all.
The atmosphere at that time is very cool and refreshing. Everything looks fresh
and happy. A cool breeze blows and a walk at that time is really very
enjoyable.
I
daily go out for a walk. I never miss it and do it without fail. I get up early
in the morning. I put on my clothes and go out towards the canal which is at a
distance of two kilometers from our house. The atmosphere is very calm and quiet. I
pass through the fields. They look charming and fresh.
Birds
chirp and green crops wave in the cool and fresh air. The milk-vendors are seen
bringing milk from the nearby villages. Vegetable sellers go to the market to
sell their vegetables. Dewdrops on the grass look like pearls.
Soon I
reach the canal. I take off my clothes and jump into the water. I enjoy a
healthy bath. After that I put on my clothes and say my prayers. By this time,
the sun rises and I make my way back home. On my way back, I come across
many people going to the canal.
A morning walk has many advantages. It keeps us refreshed all day long. We get an early start in the day. It sharpens our appetite and this prolongs life. It is in fact a panacea for all ills.

A house on fire
On the an evening of last Saturday, we were having a tea party at our house. All of a
sudden, the happy atmosphere of the party was disturbed by a loud noise. The
guests at the party started running out of the house in great confusion. I came
outside and found that one of our neighbors had caught fire. The flames were
rising high up towards the sky. Everybody feared that a big fire would spread
in the whole colony. We got anxious to bring the fire under control. The wind
fanned the flames. People want to put out the fire with buckets full of water
and bags of sand.
The
lady of the house was weeping bitterly. Her cries were heart-rending. Her only
son was sleeping on the upper story. The fire had not yet reached there. But the cloud of smoke was summing out of the window of that room. Going to that story
to save the boy meant sure death. I wanted to rush to the help of the injured
boy but I had injured leg. A young boy offered to risk his life. The people put
a ladder against the wall. The boy ran up like an arrow. He brought down the
child out of the flames. Both the boy and the child were choked with smoke.
The the fire began to die down. It took two hours to bring it down. The building was
reduced to ashes. It was a terrible sight. Our neighbor was in great distress.
None could say how the fire broke out. Some said that the fire was started by
some mischievous people in the colony. Others said that it was due to the
carelessness of the servant of the house who left a burning cigarette near some
clothes. In any case, the owner of the house suffered a heavy loss. But Allah
is thanked there was no loss of life. Everyone praised the young boy for his
bravery.

AVisit a historical place
Historical
heritage is a great asset to a country. Living nations always protect
their historical traditions. They feel proud of these works of genius. Pakistani
culture is rich in every respect. I love the whole Pakistani culture. The
things that attract me the most in this respect are the historical buildings of
Pakistan. Last summer, my friends and I made a program to visit the historical
places of Lahore. We started from Mardan and reached Lahore in the twilight of the evening. We spent a night in a hotel.
The next
day, we were much excited. We decided to visit the tomb of Jehangir. We hired a
taxi and reached the tomb. The four minarets of the tomb were presenting a very
majestic view. The tomb was surrounded by a wall. Its entrance was very
beautiful. There was a park inside the wall. The park was full of blooming
flowers. They were spreading their fragrance all around. It was a very charming
sight. There were some cool shady trees. Many birds were sitting in the twigs
of these trees. They were chirping.
In front of
tomb, there was a beautiful fountain. It was sprinkling its light shower. The
drizzling of drops produced a piece of charming music.
Soon afterward, we entered the
edifice that contains the grave of the emperor. There we pondered over the
mystery of death for some time. The room was decorated with colorful designs. We
offered "Fateha" and prayed to Allah to bless the emperor with
eternal blessings. The building itself is a wonderful place of Muslim
architecture.
We went
up to the terrace and had a view of the city of Lahore. It was a beautiful sight.
The cool breeze and deep blue sky had a magical effect on us. We came down and
sat under a tree to take some rest. We ate some eatables and drank cold drinks.
We made some of the floral and mosaic designs that we had seen in the chamber
of the tomb. In the evening we returned to our hotel. Our minds were full of
solemn thoughts. We were pondering over the mystery of death and the eternity of
nature.

A Visit a historical place
Every morning I take my school bus from the bus stand which is close to a crossing.
One morning as always, I was waiting for my school bus when this accident
occurred. One bus crossed the amber light just as it turned red. The traffic
policeman on duty blew his whistle loudly but the bus driver did not stop.
The
traffic on the side roads had begun to move. One boy riding a motorbike seemed
to be in a great hurry. He moved shad of all the other vehicles with an
unexpected start. In this move, he did not notice the speeding bus and before he
could apply the brakes the bus hit him. With a jerk, the boy was thrown into the
air before he fell on the road.
The motorbike was pulled to a distance by the bus before it stopped. Screams and
shouts filled the air for a while. The traffic policeman dashed towards the bus
driver. Many people including the passer-by gathered around the boy.
Luckily
the police squad in their Gypsy van were closed behind in the moving traffic
came to the rescue. They called for an ambulance over their wireless and
cleared away the gathered crowd. An ambulance came surprisingly soon but
unfortunately, the boy had already breathed his last. Few bus passengers who
suffered minor injuries were given a quick first aid.
The traffic was held up for more than an hour. My school bus was nowhere in sight and I decided to return home.

A Picnic Party
Last Monday our principal granted us a
one-day holiday because our class had shown brilliant results in the annual
examinations. The day was cloudy, and a pleasant breeze was blowing across. Inayat,
Tanveer, Nasir, and I were thinking of visiting the zoo in the afternoon. But
when I suggested that we should have a picnic on the bank of a river. All of
them welcomed the idea.
We set off on our motorbikes in high
spirits, each carrying a basket. We took the main road. The green fields of
wheat and other crops, waving in the breeze, stretched on
either side greeted us. Some farmers
were seen cutting grass and binding them into sheaves. How delightful it was to
get away from the noisy streets and in the open fresh air.
At last, we reached the river. The
water was flowing quietly. We came upon a grassy spot under a large banyan
tree. We disembarked our baskets and kettles. We were now tired and hungry.
Tanveer and I went to gather some dry branches.
Nasir lit the fire and placed the kettle on it for preparing tea
for all of us. Inayat opened the baskets. O, what a delicious tea it was I had
never tasted one like that before. We opened our lunch boxes and had a hearty
lunch of pastry, cakes, bananas, biscuits, oranges, and poori. We made merry for
hours. We sang, told stories, and played cards.
In the afternoon we hired a boat and started
rowing downstream, Nasir and I took the oars. Inayat was in a jolly mood. He
began to sing songs. Suddenly, he fell into the water rolling over the side of
the boat. The next minute, we were all in water, struggling for our lives.
Tanveer and I could swim. But Inayat was
nowhere to be seen. We all wondered where he had slipped. But just then, we saw
his head rise above the surface of the water. I swam up to him, caught hold of
his clothes before he could go down again, and pulled him out to the bank.
So, it all ended well. Though frightened, we were tired, so we
took rest for some time. We returned home late in the evening. We were all
thankful to Allah that the picnic had ended on a happy note.

There are
many days in life that bring joy and pleasure, but some days are the happiest
and remain in our mind forever. These days are the reminders of the amazing
time we have spent. The happiest day of my life is a visit to an orphanage. The
happiness I felt that day is no match with any other day of my life.
My friend likes to help others
and he often likes to arrange visits to different orphanages. On one of his
visits, he invited us all. As I was free that day, I had decided to go. First,
I wasn’t excited at all. It didn’t know what I would do when I would reach
there. It was in the plan to reach the place at 2 p.m. I went before time and
started to wait for others.
There was a magic show arrangement for the children and magician was arranging
his things. In the waiting area, I saw children watching where I was sitting.
Then they called me inside with the other people I was sitting with. When I was
with them, they started to ask so many questions where I was from and why
I was visiting them when I didn’t know them? Their questions struck my mind.
When all
the arrangements were completed in the hall, the children were asked to go in
that area. They divided into groups and selected the person they liked most;
they grabbed our hands and took us out. They sit with us and enjoyed the show
while talking to us in the way that we were their old friends. They all were
very beautiful and just our presence meant a lot to them.
After the the show, we played different games and enjoyed different activities. We
distributed gifts and sweets, painted their faces with cute butterflies and
flowers, applied mehndi on girls’ hands, and ate with them. When it was leaving
time, all the children had tears in their eyes and they were taking a promise
from each one of us that we would visit them often. With the promise of meeting
again we left the place.
After my
first meeting with these children, one thought hit my mind that they were
thinking we had made their day but, in the reality, they have provided us with the
way to remain happy forever. I found that true happiness can only be enjoyed when
you make others happy and especially those who don’t have anyone to call their
own!
