Teacher's Day 5 October
Teacher's Day is celebrated in the country on September 5 every year and various programs are organized in schools and colleges on this occasion. The importance and dignity of the teacher are promoted through meetings. Respect for the teacher is taught. This Teachers' Remembrance Day is celebrated on the birthday of Dr Surve Pali Radha Krishnan, First Vice President of India and Second President of the Republic, who was primarily a teacher and strived to improve the quality of life of teachers. Despite being the Republic of India, he liked to call himself a teacher. Not only that, but there were many people in the country who were also teachers and held the post of President of the country, including educationists Dr Zakir Hussain, Dr Shankar Dayal Sharma, The names of Dr Abdul Kalam are well known.
But this is one side of the picture that is undoubtedly rather bright while the other side is just as blurred. There was a time when the teacher was considered the architect of the nation who excelled not only in his words but also in his actions. There is but not much in number, and the teacher-student relationship is nothing left in today's society, all religions emphasize the respect and reverence of the teacher and Islam also presented its teachings and the educated in the society. The appreciation that Islam has given is not found anywhere else. Islam has instructed to respect the rights and respect of parents and teachers along with the rights of Allah and on one occasion the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: It shows how important the status of a teacher is.
But sadly, the other side of the picture is the opposite and darker. Today we see that the teacher who is a respected and architect of the nation is the one who has started violating human values. While the teacher has carved many invaluable gems in the world, today's teacher has a large number of materialists and vested interests.
The teacher's inhumane news is published in the newspapers and news channels, sometimes in the case of insulting girls and sometimes in other schools. A similar embarrassing incident has come to light in a school in Maharashtra in recent days. Not only that, but two years ago, on Teachers' Day, where there was talk of respecting teachers, a teacher blew up the teaching profession for his own benefit. By no means do I want to convey that I recommend for the mother to be inactive, but that there are many teachers in the community who are in a position to do so.
This Teacher's Day occasion is a moment of concern for all of us and calls on us to draw our attention to this and take stern action against such individuals so as not to harm the great status of teachers and the service of these teachers. It should also be appreciated that those who use their profession properly try to spread knowledge in the society and guide the youth on the right.
