Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Kohat
The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Kohat came into being on January 19, 2002, with the appointment of Brigadier (Retd) Talat Imtiaz Naqvi as its Founding Chairman.
The Board started functioning in temporary offices at KDA Kohat. Simultaneously, 50 kanals of land was purchased on Indus Highway connected to Kohat University of Science and Technology. The master plan and detailed drawing of the new board complex were approved by Lieutenant General (retd) Syed Iftikhar Hussain Shah, Governor NWFP / Controlling Authority in September 2002, and construction of the new complex started on November 1, 2002. The new board complex was completed. In a record time of just 16 months, it was inaugurated by the Governor of NWFP on March 4, 2004.
